Privacy Policy

Space Rookie collects no personal data: no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no tracking.

Who is responsible

Helmut Ahninger (see the Impressum), office@spacerookie.com.

This website

The website, spacerookie.com, is static. Our web host keeps standard access and error logs (access.log and error.log) that include visitors’ IP addresses, used solely for troubleshooting and attack detection — our legitimate interest in a working, secure site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). IP addresses are anonymised after 24 hours and the logs are fully deleted after at most 3 months. Host: easyname GmbH (easyname.eu), Austria. No analytics, no tracking, no cookies, and nothing loaded from other companies.

The test build and the viewer

The game’s test build (world1.spacerookie.com) and the solar system viewer (world1.spacerookie.com/viewer/) are served from a separate server rented from Contabo GmbH, Germany. Your browser connects to it to load them, as to any website; the server keeps no access logs — no IP addresses, no record of what was loaded.

Both run entirely in your browser and send nothing about you anywhere. The game remembers its sound settings in your browser’s own storage, on your device only; clearing the site’s data in your browser removes them. There are no accounts and no players’ data on the server.

Your rights

You may ask what we store about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and take it with you. You may also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at).
